Subject: LM211 and ASW Cantius 504


Hi Erik,

Well, the LM211 amp and ASW Cantius 504 speakers are now installed and
playing beautifully in my living room. Everything is breaking in nicely.
Too early to make any extensive analyses of the sound, but overall I'm
very very pleased with what I'm hearing. Very natural mids, good 3D
soundstage, excellent imaging, and plenty of deep deep bass.

The amp provides more than enough power...very loud levels at less than 11
o'clock on the volume dial. And, it looks great with those tubes glowing
in the evening.

Once again, thanks so much for the excellent advice and suggestions in
helping me choose the perfect product that meets all my needs. I'll
certainly be recommending CDF audio to my friends in Ottawa.

Keep me posted on any turntable options (used or otherwise) that might
drop into the shop in the coming months.

Dear Graeme, About three weeks ago, I picked up our new preamp
the Shindo Monbrison.In the last couple of years my wife and I went trough
major upgrades of our system,but never one of this magnitude.
In greek the word ''stereo'' means ''solid'', and that very well describes
one of the aspect that the Monbrison brought to our system,
the music is solidly in place, not only the image and staging,
but especially the sound of each instrument and voices, simply incredible.
We get more bass, more dynamics better rhythm and even some magic...
A preamp upgrade does'nt have the glamour of a speaker upgrade, when you first think about it,now when I tell my friends I have change my preamp most of them
will ask me what's a preamp??? So I would like to thank you
and all the staff for steering me in the direction of the Shindo upgrade
instead of the speaker upgrade.I don't think words can do justice to this preamp,
all I can say is that this is truly a music lover piece of equipement.
So now you have two lifetime customers and also two new friends,
my wife Marie and myself.

I went back home to listen to the same piece I heard on the Shindo setup and I get it! What I previously thought was warm and inviting was merely muddled sounds on my own and probably other sytems.

So, as always, you were right!

I've received my Sophia 2 speakers thursday night at 7:00 P.M. as promised.After dedicated manutention and very great care of the environment , Erik start up to map the room and placed very professionnaly the two speakers.It was a joy to watch him do the work like an artist who his creating a new master art ! After few moments ,everything was in place and we listen to Supertramp's School !!! Amazing stuff ,the sound was like in your store and more.After Erik and Todd left , I've spend the whole evening listening to music with the same amazement .Please continue to live your passion for music and this will help music lover like me to enjoy more their hobbies.Again a big thanks to Éric for his professionalism and devotion. The best to all the team and looking forward to get from you more exciting new products.

Erik,

I want to drop you and Graham a quick thank-you note for being so courteous and thoughtful late Friday night. I sincerely was not expecting your hospitality, especially so close to your closing.

I am impressed that you started up the VTLs for me even though there really wasn’t any time to full take them in, or even get them warmed up. I will be certain to plan a little better next year when I am in town. Too bad I missed the VTL/Alexandria combination.

Also, especially please thank Graham for the restaurant recommendation. Six of us went over to _____ and did the American thing…over-eat & drink. The food was fantastic and as are the pictures on the walls. We’ll definitely revisit it as well. I scored some serious good points with my team director who’s Italian and grew up in the family restaurant. His pasta “melted in his mouth.”

I attached some images of our car. One’s from Montreal this past week and the other from Barber Motorsports park two weeks ago.

I hate you guys, every morning I wake up I head straight into the theater, sit in the chair, crank it up to 50 and listen for like 40 minutes, over and over and over again. The strange thing is that I am not going crazy. Words cannot describe the sounds that come out of those speakers, its better than butter, its audio porno and its orgasmic!!!! Now all I need is a good bucket of fried chicken.

Bonjour M. Humfrey,

histoire de vous donner mes premières impressions sur le Sub en question que j'ai installé ce samedi. Le résultat est littéralement grissant, j'en suis estomaqué, il y a quelque chose qui vient de prendre vie, le vent souffle. "Chercher l'erreur", mais quelqu'un peut-il me dire qu'est-ce qui ce passe chez moi ???? J'ai l'impression de passer dans une autre dimention.Lorsque le sub n'est pas en fonction, je me demande vraiment si quelque chose ne vient pas de "sauter" tellement le contraste est énorme. Et de plus, ce sub est neuf, alors....la suite sera encore et encore meilleur. La musique s'embellie que les mots qui la décrivent manque à mon vocabulaire.

Size , dynamic , and sound level ………………very natural ,detail and they don,t have that little hi-fi sound…………. They are through………….. real world sound real the best live sound I have heard I am very happy thank for that good service ……………Erik Fortier place them very good……………and good installation

Things are still wonderful down here in Portland.

Sorry to bother you with this question. I know you don't carry ____ products, but have you come across their new little _____ Audio System on your travels?
It is a small 80 watt, two speakers and a "woofer" designed by _____ that costs over $3,000. I'm looking to trade in my old radio!
